Study on the formation mechanism of cutting surface of carbon fiber-reinforced composites

چکیده

Carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) is used widely in aerospace. The cutting mechanism of CFRP markedly different from that metals due to anisotropic and non-homogeneous material structure. mechanisms are highly dependent on the fiber orientation. quality machined surface can be affected by fracture models. In this paper, based elastic foundation beam theory Hertzian contact theory, mechanics established. And model simulated three-dimensional micro-scale numerical model. Then, continuous varying sub-damage deeply studied detail combining simulation results indicate orientation ? = 80° 150° transition critical point form. When 0°, failure mode buckling dominated. 0° < 180°, dominated fracture. 150°, bending-dominated. finite element effectively reflect evolution law CFRP-machined surface.
